annoying radio personalities

how do these people get these cool jobs.  i long for the time when radio hosts knew about music and kept the chit chat to a minimum.  now, a 20 second clip of a great song is followed by the intro to an awful morning show, where the uneducated hosts talk about fuck-all, that noone care about.  (ie.  their kids, their wife, celebrities going to rehab, conservative nonsense bable.)

i decided to write this post after i have written my second enraged email in just a few months to radio stations in my city.  the latest one i included below; it was in response to a hispanic man calling in asking a question, (trying to win some prize) and the host just started making fun of his accent and how the man said "job."  the man never got a chance to win the prize and was instead humiliated on a radio show that he is a fan of.

you guys are mediocre at best.  why can't we just hear music in the morning instead of ignorant, uneducated, radio personalities making fun of hispanic callers and their accents.  I don't get why some people like you, I think you are a disgusting human-being.  try being more courteous to your fans; your show is terrible, and you should feel really fortunate that you have them.

we need a revolution to bring music back to radio.  dumb reality shit has already taken over MTV (supposed to be music television), and now we are losing our radio.

the silver lining is however that local podcasts have hit the internet and i can now listen to them in my home. what to do in the car in the mean time?  i guess i will just have to make sure my ipod is updated with new tunes and with me at all times.

here is one of my favorite san diego podcasts, let me know if you know any others!

got brand loyalty?

as i conclude my marketing class tonight, i can't help but feel relieved that i made it through my first mba class.   now to reflect on one concept, brand loyalty, here are some items that have that something extra, that i will never give up. do you have some items that you are completely stuck on?

freaky friday!

sorry these thoughts are all over the place.

i've been knitting a lot lately. i have decided since i am living on student loans, knitted gifts for x-mas is a good idea.  plus i found a project that i am so excited about and everyone who is anyone would love.  knitted beer koozie with strap.  take a look at the pictures below, jealous right!  ofcourse right now it takes me about 4 hours to make one. :0  also bought a guide to knitting so i can hone my awesome skills.  knitting, it's not just for you grandma!
this is a picture of my friend and the beginning of my knit koozie obsession.  see, don't they look happy!  don't you sometimes wish you didn't have to hold your beer. well, problem solved.

lately i had 4 beautiful house guests.  friends of mine that i met while studying abroad in italy came to visit me for my birthday and the fun was epic.   see picture! went to my and pickle's favorite sushi restaurant and a piano par, where i got stupid drunk got called on stage and made an amazingly good ass out of myself. :)
here we are at stone brewery in escondido, beer tour and best lunch ever.

now i am behind on school work, so i will probably disappear from this blog for another month.

went to whole foods for the first time today (hungry hungry hippie inspired me).  i bought so much food, from the deli got a jicama slaw and seasonal squash quinoa, both were delicious.  got butternut squash, hummus, tons of broccoli and cans of pumpkin (not sure what i am going to do with those yet). it was like disneyland for adults who love healthy food.

bought a thick yoga mat..... must start exercising!

So to add to my very long list of things i am trying to learn.  knitting, spanish, blogging, photography, cooking, guitar.....

2 years of MBA, 2 years of IBS.... oh god, i hope not!

oooohhhh midterms are upon us.

*financial reporting midterm was a group one and is now behind me, my group got a 42/50, which sounds respectable but in grad school it is all about the average, and this score was just under the average.  major bummer!
*statistics, wicked hard test on probability functions that i took wed., will see how i do on that one, but i thinking 80/100 or 85/100 (after the curve)  curious to see how close my prediction is. (also already given a pretty complex assignment on determining confidence intervals and writing them up into a report for a marketing team, due on wed. this coming week)  that is just cruel in my opinion. (way to kick your students while they are down professor r)
*organizational behavior, midterm is on monday, i need to make about 250 flash cards this weekend for this test.
*marketing midterm on tuesday night (definitely typed tuesnight first)  which i will begin studying for, after the monday midterm, so as to not confuse my brain.

tangent----
saturday (after 12), i am officially taking a pause from add meds and studying and will go to the homecoming game (sdsu vs air force), with pickle and some mba friends/classmates/peers?  we will be tailgating and eating unhealthy food and drinking beer.

ofcourse i am thinking that i might bring a sac lunch and be sipping peppermint tea.  reason being, i have self diagnosed myself with ibs and partaking in frat boy like drinking doesn't sound like a good idea.   (surprised?, i have talked about grosser things on my blog before)
isn't it that true you take your amazingly intricate and delicate digestive system for granted, until the day it stops working.

i feel that there is a lot of misinformation online about what to eat to promote healthy digestion.  i always hear veggies, whole grains, foods rich in fiber.  (but this is if you have a relatively healthy digestion before hand)  the last thing you want to do in a serious bout of ibs is to start eating all the fiber you can find.  (in fact i continually make this mistake, which is my reason for blogging about it, force myself to remember for the future.)

anyway, i am torn from wanting to eat healthy, and wanting to end my ibs.  so i am going to try to not stress and i will go to henrys and get the following things.

peppermint tea
bananas
greek yogurt
sweet potatoes
apple sauce
white bread
white rice
acidopholus (supplements)

wish me luck on midterms, and with the digestive stuff.
